Show Cards
The Colerain High School Show Cards
are a competition show choir whose performances feature singing, dancing,
backdrops, costume changes, and a live band. In recent years the nationally
acclaimed Show Cards have emerged as one of the premier choral groups
in North America, routinely turning in dazzling performances before
thousands of delighted audience members each season. Consistent finalists and grand
champions in both regional and national competitions, the Show Cards
enjoy a well-deserved reputation as a talented and highly entertaining
ensemble.
Show Card auditions, consisting of
vocal and dance segments, as well as a personal interview, are held each
spring for the coming school year.
Show Card Band
The Show Card Band travels
with and accompanies the singers as an important part of the competition
program. In recent years this elite group of musicians has been awarded the
“Best Instrumentals” trophy at numerous competition sites, and has been a
primary force in the national success of the Show Card organization.
The Show Card Band typically consists of wind instruments and
a rhythm section. Auditions are held each spring for the coming school
year.
Show Card Tech Crew
The heart and soul of the group, the
Show Card Tech Crew is responsible for the sound, lighting, costumes,
props, and stagecraft for the live performances. The first to arrive at and
the last to depart from any performance venue, these hard-working folks have
an enormous influence on the success of the presentation. Having won
several “Best Stage Crew” awards in competition, they conduct themselves
with pride and dignity. Nobody does it better than the Show Card Tech
Crew!
